Abstract: For some time now, consumers of audiovisual products are no longer being hit by conventional advertising as they used to be in the past. Their way of living, relating and, above all, consuming, whether physical or audiovisual products, is completely different from what it was a few years ago. With a few clicks, the public can currently consume the program they want, and often without seeing ads as it used to. Thus, the way brands behave in the face of this new audience has been adapted to the new times. The work of the communication professional, essentially linked to advertising and the promotional action of brands, has been looking for creative and innovative ways to take the experiences of brands to their stakeholder of interests. It is necessary to be more than present with this new target, it is necessary to be part of your imagination. One of the ways that has been shown to be effective today is the strategic use of the insertion of brands, products, ideas and services, in an organic way, in film narratives, mainly of a fictional character, the so-called placement actions, which are present in films, webseries, soap operas or even in webdoc narratives. The so-called commercial feature films are part of an active and vigorous Cultural Industry that has discovered in the placement actions, effective forms of financial viability of cultural and artistic products, previously restricted to public notices and funds of public order, especially in Brazil. Thus, this monograph questions how the brands used in Placement's actions in the film Shazam! (2019) are recognized by the public and analyzed in which context and which Placement formats were used to promote their products in the film produced by the DC Comics franchise. Based on culturalist and communication theories: starting from concepts related to the Cultural Industry, by COELHO (1993), Cultura POP, by SOARES (2014). Culture of the Media, by SANTAELLA (1996) and KELLNER (2001), and Placement, by SANTA HELENA and PINHEIRO (2012), after conducting an online survey with fans of the brand and viewers of the films, it was possible to reach some surprising results: people showed receptivity related to the insertions of brands present in the film, especially when contextualized when the narrative unfolds and the great gain of these interactions between brands and characters is the organic way in which the product is presented in addition to the product being used by an artist, that generates media influence.
