DEFENSORIA PÚBLICA COMO ALICERCE FUNDAMENTAL DE ACESSO À JUSTIÇA DOS GRUPOS VULNERÁVEIS

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study investigates the relevance of the Public Defender's Office as a fundamental pillar to ensure access to justice for vulnerable groups in Brazil. The main objective of the work was to analyze the attributions and responsibilities of the Public Defender's Office, highlighting its role in the promotion of legal equality and social inclusion through projects aimed at vulnerable groups. The deductive method was used, with documentary analysis and bibliographic review of legislation, doctrines and case studies that address the role of the Public Defender's Office, thus obtaining results that showed that the Public Defender's Office not only guarantees fundamental rights, but also contributes to social inclusion through initiatives and projects that promote the knowledge and exercise of rights. It was concluded that the Public Defender's Office, in addition to being an instrument for the democratization of justice, strengthens citizenship and reduces so-cial inequalities by providing legal support and social inclusion to the population in vulnerable situations.
