Abstract

Currently, an improvement in the learning process has been observed in elementary school children through the integration of physical education and mathematics, which may demonstrate a positive relationship between this integration process and children's cognitive development. The aim of this research is to how the integration between mathematics and physical education benefits the acquisition of knowledge in elementary school children in their final years. The line of research fits into Pedagogical and Social Practices and the type of research used is bibliographical and exploratory of a qualitative nature. In its results, it was found that curricular integration promotes greater motivation in students, thus making the subject more interesting, improving the level of learning, the application of knowledge in concrete situations and a better perception of how mathematics is present in daily activities. As a final consideration, it is concluded that curricular integration between physical education and mathematics can bring many benefits to students in the process of acquiring knowledge, making students more motivated and interested in learning, thus making the subject more enjoyable and easier. to understand, showing them that mathematics does not need to be complicated to learn.
