Abstract

PROTECTION OF WOMEN'S WORK: THE EFFECTIVENESS OF PROTECTIONIST NORMS

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of labor protection standards aimed at women. The methodology used in the research is a comprehensive literature review and statistical data analysis to examine the implementation and results of protectionist norms. The results highlight persistent challenges in the effectiveness of regulations, including gender discrimination and gaps in the application of labor laws. It is concluded that it is essential to improve the application of protectionist standards to guarantee a fairer and safer working environment for women. The general objective of this work is to analyze the normative protection given to women's work and the effectiveness of the application of protectionist norms guaranteed to women in Labor Law. Furthermore, the specific objectives are to discuss the limitations of women's access to work in a broad sense. The effectiveness of protectionist norms on women refers to the capacity of these norms to provide real protection and guarantee of women's rights in the workplace. In other words, it is the extent to which laws and regulations designed to protect women from discrimination, harassment, pay inequality and other forms of injustice in the workplace are actually enforced and achieve the desired results.
