Guerra na Ucrânia: Os discursos de Volodymyr Zelensky à luz das inseguranças de crianças e mulheres ucranianas

Abstract

This monograph aims to analyze the speeches of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, in the face of the vulnerabilities present in the realities of Ukrainian children and women in the context of the War in Ukraine, which began on February 24, 2022. The central question "How is the profile and behavior of Volodymy Zelensky's speeches in the face of the vulnerabilities of Ukrainian children and women?" will guide the research from its inception to the conclusion of the results. In this way, vulnerabilities trigger the most diverse insecurities in the lives of these victims, starting above all with the gender vulnerability intrinsic to the International System, which spills over into social and economic spheres. The methodology will be used as an interpretative case study, based on existing bibliographies and data. The speeches will be analyzed using the R software, which provides images, cloud, networks and word topics about the most addressed within the pronouncements. In all, 591 speeches will be studied, made available in audiovisual form in the official language of Ukraine and transcribed in English, published on the official Ukrainian website President Of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The research will analyze the pronouncements of the Ukrainian president, in the light of the concepts of Postmodern Theory and its authors. The Feminist Theory of International Relations will also be used to clearly understand how gender vulnerability occurs not only in the international scenario, but also in war conjunctures. In the past, the analysis of speeches will be based on the pronouncements of the Ukrainian president in the period of one year of war, from February 24, 2022 to February 28, 2023, which will feature the speeches transcribed by the official website of Ukraine, and the viewing of the videos. From then on, it joins these analyses with the facts evidenced about the war between Russia and Ukraine, which provoke the insecurities of the Ukrainian victims studied here. Thus, it exposes those the president’s pronouncements, despite not going into detail into the reality of the Ukrainian victims, do not have the capacity to provoke the reality of the war in which these people are living. Finally, the research tends to bring as results the great vulnerability to which Ukrainian children and women are subjected in the current war, and how Zelensky's speeches in the face of such a situation take place, as well as what are the central points of these speeches.
