Abstract

This study aimed to point out the main impacts of the abandonment of the Brazilian Midwest due to the lack of an air network operated by a regional company that would serve the vast Brazilian air space that is located in the states of Goiás, Mato Grosso, Tocantins, Oeste Bahia and west of the state of Minas Gerais. For this, the descriptive methodology and the documentary and bibliographic research methods were used. Throughout the approaches, some external factors were identified and listed that relate to the form of organizational behavior in front of the historical environment such as sector regulations, economic situations in the country, external models of air network administration, internal policy of the parents. To prove the ideas defended in the work, data were collected through research in the yearbooks of the National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil and the World Civil Aviation Organization ICAO, in order to understand the changes in the regulatory, economic and polítical scenarios that affected the sector. air over the years. These changes have profoundly affected the national air network during the history of Brazilian air aviation, thus creating a large unserved area of the national air network, together with this, it also creates a gigantic reservation for the companies in operation today. In the last thirty years the country has witnessed a major change in national aviation, companies that were the founders of Brazilian air aviation ceased to operate and new ones emerged with new policies, management styles and customer service, with that came the deregulation of the sector in question. and with that some areas stopped being attended. In the last decade, the country went through a strong polítical and economic crisis that made it difficult for airlines to operate on routes that were not very profitable and leave the standard of fleets that airlines operated at that time. In 2019, the Brazilian Midwest region only received the national air network in its capitals and a few cities, and even so, served with few flights and doomed to oblivion by them. With the SARS-Covid 19 crisis these routes were completely forgotten and what was already very poorly attended was totally abandoned. During the work, the potential and importance given to national aviation will be demonstrated. This becomes more latent when the city's economy is fueled by agribusiness. Finally, it is concluded that an airline implemented in the Brazilian Midwest is extremely viable and of great need for the region.
