dc.description.abstractKeywords: This study aimed to analyze the participation of women as a political representative in the state of Goiás, in the period corresponding to the 16th and 19th legislature of the Goiás Legislative Assembly, identifying the main challenges for the insertion of women in state politics, considering that, Overall, women are still underrepresented in the parliamentary arena. The study was developed based on data research on the participation of women in that Assembly, as well as through interviews with the two state deputies who currently occupy seats in that Legislative House. From this context, the material obtained was analyzed, referencing it in theories focused on the proposed theme, that is, the representation of women in politics. Field research with semi-structured interviews was used, so that, based on bibliographic analysis, the relationship between gender and politics was presented in Brazil and, especially, in the state of Goiás, within the Legislative Assembly.pt_BR

dc.description.resumoO presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar a participação da mulher como representante política no Estado de Goiás, no período correspondente a 16º e a 19º legislatura da Assembleia Legislativa de Goiânia, identificando os principais desafios para a inserção feminina na política estadual, considerando que, de modo geral, as mulheres ainda continuam sub-representadas na arena parlamentar. O estudo se desenvolveu a partir da pesquisa de dados acerca da participação das mulheres na referida Assembleia, bem como por meio das entrevistas realizadas com as duas deputadas estaduais que ocupam, atualmente, cadeiras naquela Casa Legislativa. A partir deste contexto analisou-se o material obtido referenciando-o em teorias voltadas ao tema proposto, ou seja, representatividade das mulheres na política. Utilizou-se a pesquisa de campo com entrevista semiestruturada, para que, a partir de análise bibliográfica fosse apresentada a relação de gênero e política no Brasil e, em especial, no estado de Goiás, dentro da assembleia Legislativa.pt_BR
