O circo social no enfrentamento da violência: o trabalho social da Escola de Circo Dom Fernando na Região Leste de Goiânia 2018/2020

Abstract

The research begins with a critical reflection on the history of violence against the black population from the period of slavery perpetuated until the present day, targeting young black and poor. The thesis entitled The Social Circus in the Confrontation of Violence: the social work of the Dom Fernando Circus School of the Eastern Region of Goiânia 2018/2020, is a study that seeks to know and the methodology of the social circus as a tool of violence and in human and social transformation. The problem at the heart of the research is: to what extent has the Social Circus been an alternative in the confrontation of violence in the East Region of Goiania? The monograph sought to systematize the work developed by the Dom Fernando Circus School through the methodology of the social circus as a tool for human and social transformation. In order to systematize the data, interviews were carried out with egresses and social circus professionals. The study seeks to analyze the social work aimed at the valorization of citizens and the protagonism of black youth.
