O CUIDADO DO PACIENTE NO ATENDIMENTO PRÉ-HOSPITALAR – O CONHECIMENTO E AS ATRIBUIÇÕES DO ENFERMEIRO

Abstract

Theme: This study focuses on the care provided by pre-hospital nursing professionals in teaching care for patients with stroke, focusing on undergraduate nursing courses. Problem: Given the need for training nurses to provide care for stroke patients in the context of primary care, the question presented in this study were: what does the scientific literature in the nursing field indicate about the duties of nurses and the knowledge necessary to work in the field? Objectives: The general objective of this study is to analyze scientific articles in the nursing field that deal with care for stroke patients in the context of primary care, verifying what they describe about the duties of nurses and the knowledge necessary to perform them. The specific objectives are to describe the duties and functions of nurses mentioned in the articles and correlate them with the necessary knowledge; to verify what knowledge nursing professionals to work in the field must acquire. Method: This is a narrative review study, a type of descriptive study. The search strategy used the following keywords: prehospital care and nurse; prehospital care and stroke; stroke knowledge and nurse stroke and SAMU. Based on the search criteria, seven articles were selected and included. The analysis was qualitative through categorization in the WebQDA software. Results: From the analysis, it was possible to develop three categories: Attributions and functions of the nurse in the care of patients with stroke in prehospital care; Knowledge necessary for the nurse; Nurse autonomy. Conclusion: It is concluded that the articles presented show a range of attributions from the art of caring to management and the functions performed by the nursing team. Knowledge and autonomy of the nurse in prehospital care is very important for professional growth and improvement within their area.
