Israel e Palestina: as divergências do muro e as violações dos direitos humanos

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the consequences and motivations for the construction of the Wall of Israel, during the government of Ariel Sharon, bringing a more humanitarian view of the issue. The Wall of Israel was idealized by Ariel Sharon, until then prime minister, and its creation was based on the idea that a partition between the territories could block and prevent possible attacks on Israel by the Palestinians. The consequences of the construction of this barrier and the violations of human rights are the central themes of this research. The following study is based on texts, scientific articles, and on current news about the conflict. It seeks to bring a more focused look at the civilians who are affected by the attacks from both sides, to analyze the situation from an impartial and practical point of view. The expected results with this work involve bringing clarification about the conflict between the two nations and making the reader understand better the historical, political and humanitarian context that plagues the nations of Israel and Palestine.
