O transporte aeromédico durante a pandemia de Covid-19

Abstract

The air transport is shown to be essential for the realization of hospital activities and other activities related to health, especially in times of health crisis, such as that experienced during the years 2020 and 2021. In the meantime, it is necessary to understand the emergence and consequently, the development of this type of air service and how, in contemporary times, it is used to assist the full functioning of the right to health, which is basic to human survival and social maintenance. Thus, it is fundamental for the understanding of the theme to study the existing legislation regarding aeromedical transport, so that it is possible to understand where the need for the creation and implementation of this service modality came from and how the law deals with this such a latent theme, especially at times like the current one. In addition, the study is seen as relevant through the impacts caused by the pandemic of COVID-19, which began in 2020, which occurred in this form of transport, to illustrate what was faced by this sector during this crisis and so that , again, it is possible to make palpable the relevance of the sector not only for Aeronautical Science, but for the social environment as a whole. It is also necessary to see the impacts felt by general aviation, in order to draw a comparative line of reasoning between the two sectors during this health crisis. Finally, it is necessary to mention equipment and devices that make up the cabins corresponding to aerial ICUs, in order to illustrate the extremely valuable role played by aeromedical transport and so that it is possible to better understand the functionality of these cabins.
