Its objective is to analyze how the scientific literature in Social Work has addressed this issue between 2020 and 2025, based on publications available through the CAPES Journal Portal. The research problem seeks to understand how Social Work scholarship has debated gender-based violence in the workplace during this period. The study is based on the hypothesis that, although discussions on gender have advanced within the field of Social Work, there remains a limited number of studies specifically addressing gender-based violence in labor relations. The research is grounded in the theoretical contributions of Kergoat (2009), Brito (2005), Iamamoto (2009), among others. It is a qualitative and exploratory study conducted through a narrative literature review, with bibliographic data collected from the CAPES Journal Portal. The findings indicate that women from working-class backgrounds continue to be exposed to various forms of violence and labor precariousness. Furthermore, Social Work plays a significant role in confronting these inequalities by contributing to the defense of human rights, the promotion of social rights, and the strengthening of initiatives aimed at building a more just, democratic society free from all forms of oppression. The general objective is to reflect on how the ethical-political commitment guides the professional practice of social workers in defending and expanding the rights of users of the Unified Health System (SUS). The research problem arises from the question: in what ways does the absence of the ethical-political dimension interfere with the social worker’s practice. The investigation was based on documentary and bibliographic research, drawing on laws, regulations, ordinances, books, scientific articles, theses, and dissertations. Among the main authors who supported the study are Bravo (2001), Iamamoto (2000; 2007), Yasbeck (2009), Abramides (2006), and Netto (2002). The methodology adopted was qualitative, grounded in the critical-dialectical perspective, which understands social reality as historical, contradictory, and in constant transformation. The results indicate that the ethical-political commitment of Social Work goes beyond immediate intervention and requires an articulated sociopolitical practice aimed at strengthening popular participation and exercising social control. Investment in processes of continuing education, mobilization, and critical training of collective subjects emerges as a fundamental strategy to ensure the emancipatory direction of the profession and of SUS.
