<title>O uso de isoflavonas no controle dos sintomas do climatério: uma revisão da literatura</title>

<description>Título: O uso de isoflavonas no controle dos sintomas do climatério: uma revisão da literatura
Abstract: This study reviews the use of isoflavones in managing menopausal symptoms, considering their application as a non-hormonal alternative for women with restrictions or a preference for complementary approaches. Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of isoflavones in managing menopausal symptoms. Methods: An integrative review with a qualitative approach was conducted, encompassing publications between 2015 and 2025 in three languages: Portuguese, English, and Spanish. Studies using animal models, reviews, and works without full text were excluded. Results: Thirteen studies involving soy-based products and formulations with red clover were included. Heterogeneity of results was observed, with some trials showing a reduction in hot flashes and night sweats and a punctual improvement in metabolic markers, while others did not show superiority compared to placebo. Effects on bone mineral density were limited in shorter follow-ups. Differences in formulation, dose, duration of use, and bioavailability, including individual equol production, influenced the clinical response. Conclusion: Isoflavones showed partial efficacy in controlling menopausal symptoms, with a better response for vasomotor symptoms, mainly hot flashes and night sweats. However, the results were not uniform across studies; the doses described varied between protocols, including 70 mg daily and 40 mg twice daily, with treatment durations ranging from 12 weeks to 24 months. Thus, isoflavones can be considered a possible non-hormonal alternative, provided that their use is individualized and considers formulation, dose, treatment duration, and intestinal metabolism.

<title>Fatores associados à formação do comportamento alimentar infantil: uma revisão integrativa da literatura</title>
      <link>https://repositorio.pucgoias.edu.br/jspui/handle/123456789/11153</link>
<description>Título: Fatores associados à formação do comportamento alimentar infantil: uma revisão integrativa da literatura
Abstract: Child eating behavior is developed during the first years of life and is influenced by biological, psychological, social, and environmental factors. In this context, parenting practices and the family environment play a fundamental role in shaping children’s eating patterns. The present study aimed to analyze the factors associated with the formation of child eating behavior. This is an integrative literature review conducted using the SciELO, PubMed, and ScienceDirect databases, employing descriptors related to child feeding, eating behavior, complementary feeding, and family relationships. Original articles published between 2021 and 2026, in Portuguese and English, were included. The final sample consisted of 10 studies addressing factors related to the development of child eating behavior. The analyzed studies showed that coercive feeding practices, pressure to eat, and unstructured food environments were associated with picky eating, difficulties in self-regulation of food intake, and inadequate eating patterns. In contrast, responsive parenting practices, shared family meals, and greater availability of fresh foods favored healthier eating behaviors. In addition, an association was observed between picky eating, food neophobia, and reduced dietary variety among children. It was concluded that child eating behavior is strongly influenced by parenting practices, family dynamics, and the food environment to which the child is exposed, highlighting the importance of promoting nutrition education strategies directed at families and caregivers from the first years of life.

Abstract: The aim of this study was to investigate and synthesize scientific evidence regarding the correlation between neck circumference (NC) and anthropometric markers of cardiometabolic risk, as well as its diagnostic accuracy for use in clinical practice. This is a literature review conducted in the PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and Embase databases, covering the period from 2010 to 2026. Keywords related to neck circumference, cardiometabolic risk, and obesity were used, combined with Boolean operators. After applying the eligibility criteria, the quartiles of the journals in which the selected articles were investigated. Only those classified in quartiles Q1 and Q2 (highest citation and impact in the field) were selected. Fourteen studies were included, covering populations across different life stages, with ages ranging from 6 to 80 years, totaling approximately 50,296 participants. A consistent positive correlation was observed between the CPe and body mass index (BMI) and waist circumference (WC), with magnitudes ranging from moderate to very strong. The diagnostic accuracy of NC varied from moderate to excellent, with area under the curve (AUC) values ranging from 0.693 to 0.983 in children and adolescents, and from 0.620 to 0.883 in adults and the elderly. Overall, the measurement showed high sensitivity and variable specificity, reflecting the heterogeneity of the outcomes and diagnostic criteria adopted. It is concluded that neck circumference constitutes a useful anthropometric indicator for identifying adiposity and cardiometabolic risk, with potential application as a complementary screening tool in different clinical and epidemiological contexts.
