Abstract: Introduction: Cancer-related fatigue is a prevalent symptom that interferes with physical, emotional, and social aspects, negatively impacting the quality of life of cancer patients. Objective: To evaluate cancer-related fatigue and its impact on the quality of life of women with breast cancer undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Method: This is a descriptive and cross-sectional epidemiological study with a quantitative approach involving 48 women undergoing cancer treatment. A sociodemographic questionnaire, the Fatigue Identification and Consequences Scale (EICF), and the EORTC QLQ-C30 quality of life questionnaire were used. The study was approved by the Research Ethics Committee of PUC Goiás, with opinion nº 3.236.980. Results: The mean age was 53 years, with a predominance of diagnosis longer than two years. Fatigue was observed in all domains, with the greatest impact on daily activities and concentration. Combined chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment was associated with higher symptom scores and worse global quality of life perception compared to radiotherapy alone. The functional scale showed an intermediate mean, while global health was perceived as moderate. Conclusion: Cancer-related fatigue was moderately present in the sample, demonstrating a direct impact on functionality and overall well-being. The findings reinforce the need for systematic evaluations and multidisciplinary interventions to mitigate the cumulative effects of oncological treatment.

    <description>Título: Rastreio de fatores de risco cardiovascular em universitários usuários de cigarros eletrônicos
Abstract: Objective: To compare cardiovascular risk factors between university students who use and do not use e-cigarettes. Methods: An analytical cross-sectional study was conducted with university students who use and do not use e-cigarettes, enrolled in health-related courses at a philanthropic university. A sociodemographic questionnaire, the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), and the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) were applied. Blood pressure, waist-to-hip ratio, and body mass index were also measured. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test was used, and the independent t-test or Mann-Whitney test was applied to compare the groups, considering p&lt;0.05. Results: The groups showed similarities in sociodemographic profile, nutritional status, sleep quality, and level of physical activity. However, e-cigarette users presented higher levels of systolic blood pressure (116.44 ± 14.55 vs 108.14 ± 10.18; p=0.02) and higher alcohol consumption (80% vs 36%; p=0.02). High nicotine exposure was observed in this group (53.48 ± 79.47 mg/day). Conclusion: E-cigarette users presented higher levels of systolic blood pressure and higher alcohol consumption, suggesting an early impact of these substances on cardiovascular health in young people.

    <title>Hipofunção vestibular e cognição de idosos: revisão integrativa da literatura</title>
    <link>https://repositorio.pucgoias.edu.br/jspui/handle/123456789/11031</link>
    <description>Título: Hipofunção vestibular e cognição de idosos: revisão integrativa da literatura
Abstract: Introduction: Aging is associated with cognitive and sensory changes that compromise the functionality of the elderly. Among these, vestibular hypofunction has been linked not only to balance deficits but also to impairments in memory and spatial cognition. Objective: To investigate the association between vestibular hypofunction and cognitive deficit in the elderly. Methodology: Integrative review using the combined descriptors in Portuguese and English, “cognition” and “labyrinth diseases,” “dementia” and “labyrinth diseases,” and “memory” and “labyrinth diseases,” in the databases United States National Library of Medicine (PubMED) and Virtual Health Library (BVS). Results: Eight articles were selected. Among the vestibular structures evaluated, the saccule was the one that presented the worst performance in vestibular tests, generating a consistent association with deficits in memory, spatial orientation, navigation, and executive function. Conclusion: The findings indicate that vestibular hypofunction is associated with greater cognitive and functional impairment in this population.

    <description>Título: Fisioterapia vestibular e treino de memória visuoespacial: construção de um protocolo
Abstract: Objective: To develop a vestibular rehabilitation protocol associated with visuospatial memory training for older adults, based on scientific evidence. Methods: A literature review was conducted using PubMed, the Virtual Health Library (VHL), and gray literature sources. Search terms related to vestibular rehabilitation, spatial memory, visuospatial working memory, and aging were employed. Studies addressing vestibular and/or cognitive interventions applicable to older adults were included. Based on the identified evidence, a therapeutic protocol integrating vestibular exercises and visuospatial memory tasks was developed. Results: The reviewed studies demonstrated an association between vestibular dysfunction and impairments in spatial memory, navigation, and visuospatial abilities. Evidence indicated that vestibular rehabilitation improves balance, postural control, and cognitive function, whereas visuospatial memory interventions enhance working memory, attention, and executive functions. Based on these findings, a protocol consisting of psychoeducation and four progressive dual-task exercises was proposed, combining vestibulo-ocular reflex adaptation, balance challenges, and spatial memory activities. Conclusion: The&#xD;
 &#xD;
&#xD;
&#xD;
integration of vestibular rehabilitation and visuospatial memory training is supported by theoretical and clinical evidence for application in older adults with vestibular dysfunction. The proposed protocol addresses a gap identified in the literature by providing a structured and reproducible intervention model for future clinical studies.
