<summary type="text">Título: O impacto do monopólio político da elite americo-liberiana sobre o desenvolvimento socioeconômico e educacional da população nativa da Libéria (1822–1980)
Abstract: This study analyzes the impacts of the political monopoly exercised by the Americo-Liberian elite on the socioeconomic and educational development of Liberia’s indigenous population between 1822 and 1980. It seeks to understand how the concentration of political power, particularly during the rule of the True Whig Party, restricted civic participation and limited the indigenous population’s access to rights, economic opportunities, and education. The research adopts a qualitative, historical-descriptive approach, based on bibliographic and documentary research, and uses content analysis to interpret books, academic articles, official records, and historical documents chronologically. The findings demonstrate that, since its formation, the Liberian State was characterized by the concentration of political, administrative, economic, and educational institutions in the hands of the Americo-Liberians. The hegemony of the True Whig Party intensified this process by restricting the political representation of indigenous populations, concentrating public offices and economic resources, and fostering relationships of patronage and dependence on the State. In the educational field, unequal access to educational institutions and the privileging of cultural references associated with the repatriated population contributed to the reproduction of social hierarchies and limited social mobility. The study concludes that the political monopoly of the Americo-Liberian elite shaped Liberia’s development, reinforced historical inequalities, and weakened the legitimacy of its institutions. The tensions generated by this exclusionary structure contributed to the political crisis and the breakdown of the established order in 1980.

<summary type="text">Título: O caminho de Santiago em narrativas: uma análise do livro II do codex Calixtinus
Abstract: In Book II of the Codex Calixtinus are gathered the narratives of the miracles of the Apostle Saint James. These narratives were intended to legitimize the cult of the Apostle in Hispania and to promote the pilgrimage route to the tomb of Saint James in Compostela. In these narratives, his powers of protection, healing, liberation, forgiveness, and assistance to the faithful who intended to undertake, or were already undertaking, the pilgrimage stand out. Through these miracle narratives, an entire pilgrimage route was popularized, contributing to the perpetuation of memory and the Jacobean cult, as well as strengthening the tradition that the mortal remains of the Apostle are buried in Galicia. Thus, hagiographic narratives prove to be fundamental sources for the study of the medieval period, as they make it possible to understand how miracles and the construction of sainthood reflected the values, beliefs, and social relations of medieval society.

<summary type="text">Título: Práticas de cura e o protagonismo feminino na medicina em Goiás colonial
Abstract: Based on historiographical research, it is understood that the health conditions of the female population in colonial Goiás reflected the severe geographical isolation of the captaincy, transforming the bodily experience of women into a space of institutional abandonment. The absence of academic professionals decentralized the act of healing, transferring it to the field of religious syncretism and popular knowledge. Mary Del Priore (1988) highlights that, in this context, physical pain was frequently reinterpreted as a test of faith. Furthermore, based on the formulations of Joan Scott (1986), it is noted that the gender asymmetries prevalent in modernity subjected these women to labor and reproductive exhaustion. Investigating this reality requires confronting the documentary erasure pointed out by Michelle Perrot (1995), since official sources have historically silenced the daily lives and traumas of this group. In the face of such gaps, the crucial role of healers, midwives, and traditional healers in the colony is reinforced. In a territory vulnerable to endemic diseases and the impacts of mining activity, the division between science, mysticism, and religiosity did not exist; these women acted as a vital bridge between human fragility and divine intervention, transforming physical suffering into a sacred and comforting rite.

<summary type="text">Título: Entre a cura e o pecado: práticas femininas de magia e medicina nos casoso inquisitoriais da América portuguesa
Abstract: ABSTRACT:This article analyzes the role of women in the field of healing practices in Portuguese America, focusing on the relations between magic and medicine in the colonial period. Initially, it discusses the historiographical construction of the history of women and their insertion in the Brazilian context. Next, it addresses women’s popular knowledge related to folk healing, frequently associated with witchcraft. The research is based on the analysis of inquisitorial cases, evidencing the forms of repression and control exercised over these practices. Through bibliographic review and document analysis, the study seeks to understand how the activities of these women were interpreted and, often, criminalized, revealing tensions between healing practices, social norms, and institutions of power.
